Emily Bell AFF.SWW, STEP Affiliate
Emily joined Heritage Will Writing in 2017 having come from the legal sector.
Her early role within the business focused on drafting client documentation, giving her a detailed understanding of the estate planning process and the potential issues that can arise when arrangements are not carefully structured. This experience provided her with a strong technical foundation and a clear appreciation of the importance of accurate, well-prepared documentation that properly reflects each client’s wishes and circumstances.
Today, Emily works directly with clients in a consulting capacity, supporting families through every stage of their estate planning, from the initial consultation through to implementation and, where required, estate administration. She is known for her calm and thoughtful approach, taking the time to understand each client’s individual circumstances and ensuring they feel supported throughout the process. Her aim is always to make what can often feel like a complex subject straightforward and reassuring.
Emily takes particular pride in helping clients put clear and effective plans in place, giving them confidence that their affairs are organised and that their loved ones will be looked after in the future.
During her time with Heritage Will Writing, Emily has achieved both the Certificate in Trusts and Estates (England and Wales) and the Advanced Certificate in Will Preparation with the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP). She is also a member of the Society of Will Writers (SWW).

Stephen Gedge
Steve brings more than two decades of experience in financial services to his role with Heritage Will Writing, having previously worked as a Financial Adviser helping individuals and families plan confidently for the future.
During his career, Steve built long-standing relationships with clients, many of whom he advised for over 20 years. His work often involved helping families consider inheritance tax planning and the importance of putting the right structures in place to protect the people and assets that matter most.
Today, Steve focuses on will writing and estate planning, helping clients ensure their wishes are clearly documented and their affairs are organised for the future. He understands that discussing these matters can sometimes feel daunting, and takes pride in making the process straightforward, reassuring and easy to understand.
"Throughout my career in financial services, I saw how important it is for families to have clear plans in place for the future. Too often people put off writing a will, not realising the difficulties it can create for loved ones later. Being able to help clients put those plans in place and give them peace of mind that everything is organised properly, is something I find incredibly rewarding."
