Putting Your Affairs in Order

Being told to ‘put your affairs in order’ is chilling. But what does it actually entail?

Comedian Bob Mortimer was informed he needed an urgent triple heart bypass one Thursday last October. He made a will on the Friday. And less than an hour after marrying his girlfriend on the Monday, he was under the knife.

So, making or updating your will has to be top of the ‘to do’ list. Next is collecting all your important papers into one accessible place. Or noting down where the paperwork is. This could include the title deeds to your home, bank accounts, share certificates, building society accounts and life insurance. And then telling a  family member or trusted friend where everything is.
