A Dead Good Week at the Library
Heritage Will Writing is delighted to be supporting “A Dead Good Week at the Library”.
As part of Dying Matters Awareness Week, the Central Library is putting on ‘A Dead Good Week at the Library’. All week, there will be books, support & info available, on many aspects of Death, Dying & Bereavement.
Sat May 16th – a family friendly day of activities & talks.
Weds May 20th – timetabled talks. SEE BELOW for times.
This is a free, drop in anytime, event. All wheelchair accessible.
Saturday 10.30 – 16.00 hrs:
In the main library.
- Tissue Wishing Birds & Sugar skulls – all day.

- 10:00-12:00 Janet price, Humanist Celebrant, on hand to chat about Non religious Ceremonies.
- 14.00 – 14:45: Talk by Dr Andrew Jenks on ‘Palliative Care & anything you want to ask the Doctor’
Weds 10.30 – 16.00 hrs:
Timetabled Talks in the Seminar Room.
- 11:00 – 11:30: ‘Wills – it’s your choice’ – Adam Johnson
- 11.30 – 12:00: ‘What happens in organ donation’ – Bethan
- 12.00 – 12:45: Soul Midwifery / being with someone when they are dying – Mandy Preece
- 13:10 – 13:50 ‘Meditation on dying’ – Thekchen Buddhists
- 14:30 -15:30 ‘Grave Talk Cafe’ facilitated by Erica Roberts
